All of Grace by C. H. Spurgeon

Description: In All of Grace, C.H. Spurgeon outlines the love of God in such clear, simple language that everyone can understand and be drawn to the Father. Any attempt to please God based upon our own works brings self-righteousness and coldness of heart. It is free grace and mercy of God that makes the heart glow with warmth and thankfulness for God's love. The heartfelt goal of this dynamic classis is summed up in Spurgeon's final cry to the reader, "Meet me in heaven!"

The Potter's Freedom by James White

Description: Geisler's Chosen but Free sparked a firestorm of controversy when he labeled Calvinism "theologically inconsistent, philosophically insufficient, and morally repugnant." White steps into the breach with his cogent response. His systematic refutation of Geisler's argument will help you understand what the Reformed faith really teaches about divine election and how Reformed thought conforms to the gospel.

Thoughts for Young Men by J. C. Ryle

Description: Peer pressure, lust, idleness---there's nothing new about the struggles young men face. Help them stand firm! Filled with wise guidance and pithy advice, this slim volume prepares and equips your teens to resist temptation and grow strong in character. Penned by England's "last Puritan" in the late 19th century, Ryle's practical counsel rings as true today as ever.

Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis

Description: Probably the 20th century's most influential Christian writer, C.S. Lewis sought to explain and defend the beliefs that nearly all Christians at all times hold in common. His simple yet deeply profound classic---originally delivered as a series of radio broadcasts---is a book to be thoroughly digested by believers and generously shared with skeptics.

The Christian in Complete Armour by William Gurnell

Description: It's been called "one of the most important books ever written, other than the Word of God." Now updated in modern English and abridged for easy reading, William Gurnall's The Christian in Complete Armour helps you strengthen your spiritual defenses against Satan's attacks. Fortified by solid theology, firm faith, and astute insights into human nature, Gurnall's Puritan classic will move you to prayer and deeper dedication to the Lord.

Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin

Description: The definitive English language edition of one of the church's monumental works. Here Calvin expounds his theology in its most systematic and detailed form. Features for the first time in any English edition: chapter headings; footnotes; bibliographies; Scripture, author, and subject indexes; and more. Essential to any study of Calvin's theology or Reformed theology.

Grace Unknown by R. C. Sproul

Description: You've heard of Reformed theology. You'd like to know more about it. And you want a full explanation, not a simplistic one. Who better to enlighten you than Sproul---he's made theology exciting to laypeople for decades. Discussing much more than just the "five points of Calvinism," Sproul shows how God's amazing grace is at the heart of Reformed theology.

Charismatic Chaos by John MacArthur

Description: Recognizing the importance of the charismatic movement and the need for a biblical evaluation of it, MacArthur analyzes the doctrinal differences between charismatics and non-charismatics in the light of scripture.

The Life and Diary of David Brainerd      by Philip E. Howard, Jr. (edited by Jonathon Edwards)

Description: Pioneer missionary to Indians, David Brainerd rode over 3,000 miles on horseback through the wilderness of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. His journal, kept during his travels, was edited by Jonathan Edwards after Brainerd's death in 1747. His accounts of setbacks, successes, and intense spiritual devotion have inspired believers ever since. This new edition includes a biographical sketch of Edwards by Philip E. Howard, Jr.

The Works of David Clarkson - Banner of Truth

Description: "From the Publisher:" The three volumes of Clarkson's Works published in 1864-65 well illustrate his preaching powers. His expositions are characterised by faithfulness to biblical teaching, by careful analysis and exposition, and by copious application.

The Death of Death in the Death of Christ by John Owen

Description: The Death of Death in the Death of Christ is a polemical work designed to show, among other things, that the doctrine of universal redemption is unscriptural and destructive of the gospel. Nobody has a right to dismiss the doctrine of the limitedness of the atonement as a monstrosity of Calvinistic logic until he has refuted Owen's proof that it is part of the uniform biblical presentation of redemption, clearly taught in plain text after plain text.

Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot

Description: In Through The Gates of Splendor, five young men dared to make contact with a stone-age tribe deep in the jungles of Eduador. The Goal was to establish communication with a people whose only previous response to the outside world had been to attack all strangers. The men's mission combined modern technology with innate ingenuity, sparked by a passionate determination to get the gospel to a people without Christ. This new edition of the book offers fresh information about subsequent developments in Ecuador and in the lives of the five missionary familes that began in autumn of 1955.

The Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther

Description: Luther's work is fundamental to an understanding of the chief Reformation doctrines: our total inability to save ourselves, the sovereignty of divine grace, justification by faith, and predestination and God's foreknowledge. This accurate translation conveys the impetuousness and vigor of the original language. Includes a 50-page introduction and a helpful Scripture index.

The Religious Affections by Jonathon Edwards

Description: This book is among the best-known works of Jonathan Edwards. Edwards seeks to distinguish between true and false religion by showing the marks of a saving work of the Holy Spirit in men. In his Preface, Edwards stresses the importance of using "our utmost endeavors clearly to discern ...wherein true religion does consist". For "till this be done, it may be expected that great revivings of religion will be but of short continuance". Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) was one of the few truly great theologians of the English-speaking world, who began his ministry at Northampton, Massachusetts, when New England had drifted from the Puritanism of its founders.

Christianity & Liberalism by J. Gresham Machen

Description: This book, written in response to the liberalism which arose in the early 1900's, is a classic defense of orthodox Christianity. To expose the fallacies of liberalism and strengthen the orthodox position, Dr. Machen establishes the importance of scriptural doctrine and contrasts the teachings of liberalism and orthodoxy on God and man, the Bible, Christ, salvation, and the church. These issues remain in conflict today, testifying to the continuing relevance of this important work.

Evangelicalism Divided by Ian Murray

Description: Has the influence of the ecumenical movement weakened evangelicalism over the past 50 years? Focusing on high-profile evangelical personalities, institutions, and publications, Murray's detailed historical overview shows how the new policy of accommodation has involved concessions that have seriously eroded biblical Christianity. His thought-provoking narrative will help you put this vital issue into perspective.
